◆Genre
A style or category of art, music, or literature.

◆Finocchio
Italian slang for an effeminate man.
The finocchio who hangs around at the bus station is always trying to scam people.
イタリア語のスラングで、女々しい男のこと。
バス停にたむろする女々しい男は、いつも人を騙そうとしている。
◆Cliché
An idea is overused or lacks originality
She was very creative in art school but her work became very cliché after graduating.
使い古されたもしくは独創性がないアイデア。
彼女は、美大時代はとてもクリエイティブだったのですが、卒業後、彼女の作品はとても陳腐なものになってしまった。
➣Adjectives 形容詞
◆Wooden
Used to describe behavior or acting that is awkward or shows little expression.
His latest performance was very wooden. It’s clear he’s just doing this for a paycheck.
ぎこちない、または表情の乏しい行動や演技を表現するために使用される。
最近の彼の演技はとてもぎこちなかった。ただ給料をもらうためにやっているというのがあからさまだ。
◆Cheesy
Something that is lame, poorly done, or bad quality. Someone that is lame or uncool.
The story was really cheesy and made me laugh.
ダサい、出来が悪い、質の悪いもの。ダサい、もしくはかっこ悪い人。
ストーリーが本当に陳腐で、笑ってしまった。

◆Pull that off
To succeed in achieving or winning something difficult.
I can’t believe you pulled that off at work. I thought you were going to be fired.
困難なことを成し遂げたり、勝ち取ったりすることに成功すること。
