I love making music. Um, also using other instruments sometimes. But… but piano is… is very special.
- How will you define this universe which is called ‘Piano?’
Piano is like a full orchestra to me. You have everything in it.
For me, piano is, I think, more than just an instrument because I… I played too many time since I was young. So, I’m… I’m basically not like a talkative person. But, um, I can be talkative when I play piano.
It’s, you know, you can be drums, you can be bass, of course it’s piano, but you can be melodic instrument, progressive instrument. It’s how… it has all. It’s… that’s why it’s hard to play. I’m still learning
- That I understand, yeah. You get your freedom from performing inside of the piano.
Yeah, I can be really, really free on a piano. So, yeah. I… I love making music. Um, also using other instruments sometimes.
But… but piano is… is very special.
When I played in Belgium, like, in April there was… when I was soloing the ambulance came. “Wooooo. Wooooo.”
And I could feel that people were really into the music, but because of the ambulance sound they got disturbed. So, I played with the siren; “Wooooooooo.” And they loved it and I just tried to convert it to, I mean, the musical pleasure as much as I can.
Because if it can be just the noise, which is disturbing, or it can be part of the improvisation. And it’s life. It happens.
I’ve been doing like improvising naturally since I was young, and it was quite a natural thing to me.
I’m always trying to find a balance, but, well in general, it’s a good thing that, um, I… I experience so many genres of music. And then I create my whole musicality.
But when these things happens, you can either get disturbed and ann… annoyed and, you know, kind of confront it.
- It takes you from the track.
Yeah. Or you can accept it and just be friend with this, you know, I don’t know, unexpected things. It’s life.
